Special Courses:

The school is open all year round. It's possible to enrol at any time and choose a course specially tailored to your requirements, answering to any need of studying, working, way of life and leasure time and suited to any level.

ITALIAN & YOGA

This course is ideal for those who want to combine studying the Italian language with finding their balance and vitality enjoying yoga, art and cooking. This two-week course combines a 7-day yoga course at Ebbio, a romantic 14th century Tuscan farmhouse converted into a yoga retreat with a 5-day Italian language course at the Italian language school Terramare in Orbetello, a splendid lagoon surrounded by National Parks in the Maremma region.

The duration of the language course is one week. It is also possible to enroll for periods of more than one week. The Yoga course is offered from June 26th – July 3rd 2009 at Ebbio and can be combined with an Italian language course before or afterwards.

THE PROGRAM:
Week 1:
June 26th - July 3rd 2009: Living Arts Retreat: Yoga, art and cooking.

This 7-day all-inclusive program will be hosted at Ebbio, a yoga tretreat nestled amongst breathtaking beauty just one hour from Florence and 15 minutes to Siena.

The retreat will combine attentive tuition in the living arts of yoga, shiatsu massage, drawing as meditation, and cooking – all ingredients for a lifestyle of vitality, balance and creativity.

As the days unfold you will experience special sessions to ignite awareness and meditation through drawing from life, learn healing shiatsu practices for the relief of physical and mental tension, and master the art of delicious seasonal food preparation. Example of daily itinerary:
- 6.00 am: morning mediation session
- 6.30 am: Awaken the body with group walk/run
- 7.30 am: Oki-Do yoga/Shiatsu session with Louis
- 9.00 am: Plentiful breakfast
- 11.00 am: Drawing as meditation with Renae; nutritional cooking session with Louis
- 1.30 pm: Lunch

- 6.00 pm: Sakshin Ghatashta yoga session with Renae
- 07.30 pm: Dinner
- 08.30 pm: evening activity: shiatsu, theatre, film, hot springs excursion, moonlight walks, surprises

The yoga course can be combined with all Italian language courses at Terramare: individual courses, group courses as well as special courses:

- Group course: 20 hours/week - Combined intensive course: 20 hours/week group course + 10 hours/week individual lessons - Individual intensive course and CILS preparation: 20 hours/week - Individual intensive course and CILS preparation: 30 hours/week - Individual non-intensive course and CILS preparation: 10 hours/week - Full immersion Tutor course: 35 hours/week - Language, nature and sports - Language, Mediterranean cuisine and the wine trail - Language, art and archaeology with pottery-painting workshop - Language, literature and dramatization

PRICES:

***On Saturday students will be able to enrol at a whole day guided tour to the city of Siena and neighbouring towns of Montepulciano and Pienza: visit of historical sites, lunch in typical local restaurant and evening stopover at a wine cellar to taste the local famous wines.

***The cost of this activity is not included in the price of the course.
