Here, in this region of Tuscany, around the lagoon of Orbetello, the Argentario coastline looks over the islands  and the hinterland of Maremma…
When suddenly the deep blue of the Mediterranean creates a wonderful contrast to the different greens of the vegetation and warm reds of Tuscan soil…

… it is Christmas …

…This is a magic moment to learn Italian and discover the culture, because the „Italian way of life“ takes on a special significance:
the noise of the city fades, the rhythm of life invites conversation,  the atmosphere kindles a new awakening to the Italian experience

A mild climate and sunny days will accompany us on our journey throughout the Tuscan Maremma.

It is possible to book a course for one, two or three weeks.
Possible starting dates are: 12th, 19th and 26th of December 2011

THE PROGRAMME - ACTIVITIES

Sunday 11.12.2011: After check-in the students take part in a sightseeing tour of Orbetello and have dinner in a typical restaurant.

From Monday to Friday: 3 hours language course, from  - 09:30 to 12.30 – which can take place inside the classroom as well as outside.

In the afternoons: from Monday to Friday the following activities are offered alternately:

1 – Visit to mediaeval towns with their living Nativities.
Followed by dinner in local restaurants.

2 – Visit to museums and historical towns like Siena, Volterra, San Gimignano, Pienza, Massa Marittima, Viterbo, Tarquinia, Tuscania etc.

3 – Walking, bicycle tours,  horse riding or other sport activities in protected areas of the Maremma;

4 –Tasting of wines and typical dishes and visits to biological farms with the possibility of preparing typical dishes.

5 – Concerts and traditional Christmas choirs as well as other cultural activities in a Christmas context.

6 – Art: visit to museums and archeological sites of the Etruscan and Roman age.

7- Art studio: introduction to painting, pottery and decoration of ceramics.
